Not in agreement with the FMJ's they have usually past through the 'yote, not cool when shooting around the populated rural areas, too much possibilty of collateral damage!!!

Are you're buddies noticing any difference in the different grains of those Sierra blitz kings? Do the 40 gr.s buck wind and stay up long enough? Do the 55 gr.s still stop inside a puppy? Im also considerring the blitz kings and like the idea of a heavier, ballistic tipped, semi-boat tail i just want to know itll still expand alright.
 
I've whacked coyotes with my 223 with a variety of 55 grain bullets. The bullet that I like the best were Speer 52 grain hollowpoint ahead of 26 grain if W760. Cheap like borscht, and devastating.

IMHO varmint grenades are too frangible for yotes ,if you hit even a rib it will just spash
wound. I'd save them for gophers.

We have found that the Blitzkings are very explosive no matter what we have shot them into. A 40 will do fine for 'yotes in the wind as long as they are pushed fast and the range is short (250 and under). The 50 -55 gr's in the .22-250's and .22-243 make a real mess!!!

I am going to switch back to the 55 Blitzkings because they have the same advertised BC as the 60 gr Nosler Ballistic tip. When I think F-class competition, the same BC at a higher velocity wins every time for wind bucking ability and down range performance!!

I used to shoot 40 gr Ballistic tips in a Ruger #1 in .22-250 and at 4200+ fps I never had a pass through unless a marginal hit was made. An old gunsmith friend of mine used to use a 6-284 with 70gr Blitz and he would damn near cut the dog in half just about every time!!!

I think if you would run the Ballistic tip or Blitzkings as fast as safety will allow you will be impressed with the results.

Just a note about bullets like the SXSP's and the like. At the velocities I was able to get out of the .22-250 most would come apart before 100 yards. There is a velocity limit for some of the varmint bullets (none I am aware of for the Ballistic tip or Blitzking). Pay attention to the manufactures velocity specs and have fun!!!
 
I had to turn down the throttle on the 55gr SPSX out of my .22-250. I started off running them at 3750fps, and they came apart mid-flight. I had to cut it back to 3600fps before they would start to consistently hold together.
