I wouldnt worry about the blind. Blinds are not great for coyote hunting as they are pretty much one time use. Coyotes catch on very fast and will learn to avoid your spot if you sit there very often. Wind is another factor. When making a blind it's usually only good for one very specific wind.I hear you. So far the recording from Predator University has cost me $40. I can use it on different e calls if I need to some day. I've put it on an sd card on my garage speaker. It's got good sound. Plan is to put a blind at the corner of the quonset and the speaker out past the shelter belt point out aways in the field about 100 yards away. Lots of coyote vocals and tracks behind that belt. Lots of great advice and tips really appreciate all the input
It’s the tail end of mating season, the last two weeks rabbit and pup distress wouldn’t have don’t much for you
All depends where you are located. Im in eastern ontario and I sit for atleast and hour. The last coyote we shot came in at the 1 hour and 9 minute mark. I was about ready to stand up when I noticed the coyote coming in about 400 yards out.FoxPro, lucky duck, icotec, primos are the only E calls I would consider in that order.
It's way more than just remote range when you get a purpose made call. They are built for the weather and include good quality proven sounds.
Bluetooth speakers will need to contend with the elements while still having enough volume to get the job done. Not saying it won't or can't work but if you plan on being even remotely serious about it I would choose an e call from the above list or buy a few quality handcalls before Bluetooth speakers.
As for your comment about running a call for a few hours. Any coyote stand that lasts longer than 30 min in most cases is just wasting time. Most of my coyote stands last no longer than 15 minutes. In a 15 min stand I will blow or play minimum 3 different sounds.
They will learn to associate danger of any kind if they come to the call and one way or another find out it's not actually a dying bunny. So being shot at, Catching your wind, seeing your truck, watching you setup etc etc.I was wondering if they would stay away from the area after and associate the shot with the call.
Thats why the missed shots really irritate me. I missed an easy one in fall, didn't play a dip in the terrain when he was coming in. Still bent out of shape about it...They will learn to associate danger of any kind if they come to the call and one way or another find out it's not actually a dying bunny. So being shot at, Catching your wind, seeing your truck, watching you setup etc etc.
I'll probably add hamertime to the sd card. What is the red stuff on the tree? I was thinking a while ago if baiting coyotes was done. Haven't looked into baiting yet. Anyone using bait with or without calls?I guess last week's coyotes didn't get the memoPrey distress was getting sh1t killed
TT Hammertime is a good one if you're looking at a Full Stand. It's Mp3 format. Full Stand 6 is all prey distress, it can work or not work. Hammertime has vocals, prey, fights - more well rounded as a stand Hammertime 2 has no prey distress in it
