Anybody having trouble calling in coyotes? I have been out for 2-3 FULL days each week for the past 3 weeks in areas that were productive last year. I have driven over 500km and have hardly even seen a track. The only success I had was Sat, 2 weeks ago. Called all day and finally in my last 2 spots, called in a coyote each. However, hunting partner (both were in his arcs) missed them both. So I shot him and took him in and the MD refused to pay out the bounty! LOL!
Seriously though, anyone else having trouble. We were out all day again yesterday and today and still haven't seen a track.

You should try calling / hunting them in the East; this would be a frequent experience. :)

It won't stop me from going out in the morning to try my luck; I just don't have high hopes for success. :)

You never know though, even a broken clock is right twice a day. :)

Just got home from hunting with a couple of friends this afternoon. Set up 5 times. Called coyotes 4 times. One produced no good shot; one clean miss on a double; two dead. Pretty good afternoon.

Sounds like hunting them down my way. Lots of tracks all over but you hardly see them. The guys who run walkers have good success. I shot one yesterday and it was the first one I have seen with mange. No hair on his tail or rump, he was this years pup as well. I didn't even touch him after seeing that.
