I just picked up a howler call by quaker boy as well as the dvd truth 3 calling all coyotes which is very informative but i would like tips from you guys about waht works for you exspecially you guys in the leduc alberta area basically i am tired of trying to be in the right spot at the right time and gettin one so now its time to up my chances thanks
 
K.I.S.S. strategy

hunt where there is lots of sign, get in without them knowing, call 30 seconds with rabbit distress and wait a few minutes before repeating. Dont move much and be patient, wait on stand at least 20 minutes or more
 
yup keep it simple

I agree movement and stealth are very important. The less movement the
better and don't over call. Where around Leduc are you hunting Yotes?
 
usually bout 3 or 4 k short of rabit hill one of the guys i work with runs a dairfy farm out there i've got 2 of 3 right now but its just been luck that i was there at the same time as the yotes i am goin out on thursday to try calling one out of the river area close to his place i know in the spring i'll be getting lots in the area cause of all the dairy herds in the area will be calving

I purcahse a Primos mini mag holwer a few days back, it came with a pretty good instructional tape. First few days, all I got for answers were the neighour's dogs. Then today I hit the jackpot. I drove to the end of a road allowance near a neighbour's farm. Shut off the truck lites and started the "location" call. It worked, the neighbour came out of the house, I could hear him say "listen to them coyotes tonite". No coyotes answered though. :runaway:
 
calling yotes is awesome i couldn't hear very well cause thewind was blowing something fierce but every now and then i could hear the yote calling back and he even showed up bu i fubared and he walked back into the trees the worst part was he was only about 250 or 300 yards out and i don't have a toy that'll reach that far yet
 
get set up & check your silouete.back to some willow call with different intensity start strong then less,like the rabbit was tiring. wait 4-5 min repeat. Movement to a minimum & keep your head on a swival.the little buggers will come from anywhere.I shoot E of U by hay lakes snowshoe call workes best for me Good Luck & have fun
