Coyote calling

Fawn bleats, elk call mouth reed, do squeaks and chirps.. Tie something grey or brown out front to get their attention. Camo a plus, backed up to bush or in the edge, scrub on a fence line works . If they're close and stop cover your mouth when you call, and real soft, they can pin point your position other wise. Move only when they move, and real slow. Not allot of people in our area hunt/hunt them, they usually shoot at them from the road or while on the field, so setting up and calling is not something they deal with often. Early morning or late afternoon is best.

Ive hunted dogs for years now and its really hard to beat a Foxpro, I have all the fancy hand calls from Red Desert Howler to Carver Calls and never use them unless I forget to charge my Fury II. To each their own but I prefer a Foxpro.

Cheers!!

I've heard all you need in Saskabush is a blade of grass for a call and a sharpened stick because the coyotes are so dumb out there they come running in and you spear em while they are looking for the sound.

lol...yep they are dumb out here. Hardest part about hunting coyotes in Sask is finding a day that's not 50 KM winds.

Cheers!!
