Coyote cartridges what have you used what is your favorite?

its sort of funny........ all these new cals and lots of older ones are most always compared to the 22.250...so why not just use one i use the tika t3 ss as a tractor ..snowmachine truck gun 22,250 and my dedicated set up is a tika t3 in the varmint h b FACT my neck only sized reloads fit in both rifles what are the chances....my best dog weighed 55 lb 6 oz on a government scale....fact...if you surprise one on the open at distance hold your percentage shot he will almost always stop very close to the fence roe or cover and look at you ...he just has to know....this is your 2 or 3 seconds at best to do your thing ,,,,,,,,there are lots of great cals but you cannot go wrong with the 250 and dont over scope........don

Learnt to hunt / shoot them with my 204 …… shoots like a lazer. 25-400 yards bagged and tagged , very forgiving and just awesome

Moved onto a 22-250 as the king. Went 8 for 8 shots/ kills before missing the 9 th ….. was out of zero ……. 525 yard hit with it and another 250 on the run ….. helluva shot

• Hornady 75-grain ELD Match: 3,075 fps (24-inch barrel)
• Hornady 88-grain ELD Match: 2,820 fps (factory)

I see Hornady load data has “ 3550 FPS “ with 30-33 grs of selected powder Pretty IMPRESSIVE fir that little cartridge

I built an MRA Renegade, 20" Faxon match barrel.

Hand loaded - 32.5gr CFE 223 with 62gr ELD-VT, Federal GMM205 -AR primer - runs 3630fps

The scope is an Arken EP-5 5-25X56

Just using Hornady brass for now. I need to figure out some issues before going to better brass. These crazy MRA renegades have issues with hard extractions & I'm still fighting with it. Even with wimpy 300BLK I had hard extractions.

But those 3600fps loads werent the best loads & on the high side for pressure. Once work & hunting season is over I'll get back into it.
