I have a gap in the lineup and looking to fill it. I have the small calibers covered, 17 HMR, 17 Fireball and 22-250, I feel comfortably covered up to 400 yards with these.

I have a Rob Arms XCR in 6.8 SPC that I feel covered for yotes and deer up to 300 yards.

and the next rifle in the line up is a Sendero in 7mm RUM.

I need something with a little more hitting power than the small guns and a little more reach than the 6.8. Lets say yotes to 600yds and deer to 400yds (maybe).

I have some ideas in mind but I'd like your ideas before I share that, would like your thoughts on cartridge and rifle configuration.

Don't bother with anything bigger than 7mm. I have a 300 wsm in rem titanium and a win 70 ss in 375 h&h. Needs to be flat shooting but not by burning 93grs of RL-22 like the ultra.

The deer part is much less important as I don't have deer where I live so I only get out once a year and I have other rifles to cover that. Long range yotes that can be on windy winter days are going to be the main purpose. I do agree with your 300wsm comment. It could be used for everything for sure

I was originally thinking something like a 243ai, 260 or one of the 284 based cartridges. In a stainless rem 700 with medium-heavy barrel fluted barrel and bolt in a good quality synthetic stock. Weight isn't a big issue but would like to keep the package fairly short. I thought of the 6br or dasher but they won't feed
