Coyote hunters in Quebec

Hey i'm looking for partners/mentors in PQ preferably in the Townships. I've been looking into hunting coyotes but i don't really have anywhere to go and i would like to learn a few things if possible! I usually hunt deer and i'm not used to that game at all...

I agree but they just aren't comming to the call:mad: We spent the whole deer season hearing them yip and howl! I think things may get better after the new year.....corn was cut late this year and there was too much going on for them to come out in the daytime.
Scruffee....unfortunately the farm I hunt in the townships will not permit more hunters. They had some bad experiences in the past with folks they don't know. My advice to you is get out where you usually hunt deer, get a rabitt distress call and a howler, and just give it a go. Set up with a crosswind or with the wind AT YOUR BACK. Yotes will circle to get downwind of you. Just make sure you have a shooting oppertunity BEFORE they get downwind and get a sniff of you. There are many yotes in the townships but they are tough to hunt. It's not like our brothers out west, they can bag in a single day what we get in a season. Be patient, keep at it, and just enjoy the time in the field. If you are the I must get an animal each time I go hunting type forget yotes and start crow hunting instead.

There are more and more here also (I'm between Mascouche and St-Esprit)..... My neighbor got 4 in the last 2 days of the hunt last year..... I geared up and will try at it this winter.....
 
Every time we shot and gutted a deer this season we could hear them 30 mins after we left it was insane! The deer population where i hunt went down tremendously... This season i only saw 3 deer: one doe, a huge 8points that i shot and i saw a spike which my sis shot after seeing him a few times... Last year at that same spot i saw about 15 does and a few bucks...

Let me know if any of you guys need help i can always learn a few tricks!!!

Yep my gut pile was gone in a matter of minutes. Actually I was happy they didn't touch the deer! After gutting I went to get a quad to haul the deer out, I was gone perhaps 20-30 minutes. When I returned all that was left was the stomach. One hunter on another farm saw 4 yotes one morning chasing a couple of does....We also saw less deer then in the past, their patterns changed fast also. What part of the townships you in?
 
I'm in lennoxville but i usually hunt in Sawyerville i used to hunt in Stoke but some douche bag started to feed the deer all year round and has a pricey set up, he attracks them all there so i kinda lost that spot since no deer came this year... they were all on that dudes property but i guess it kinda help me this year by bagging a monster at my new spot... Where do you usually hunt?
 
we have coyote problem in zone 10 also, we are trying to promote coyote hunting now thru different web site, hopefully we will kill as manu as we can so we can start to raise the deer population. the ratio of deer tag went down another 55 % this year.

I hunt deer in Frelighsburg.
My neice goes to Bishops in Lennoxville....quite the party town during the school year!
