Anyone else in the Timmins area go out for coyotes or wolves? I'd be really interested in trying it out, but I'm not sure how big our coyote population is or where to start really. Any help or advice would be great.
Dont' think there's much of a coyote population around Timmins..you would have to travel towards Val Gagne / Matheson where there's more farmland. I know there are enough Wolves around....I usually go looking for tracks during the winter.
I got property in Val Gagne, have not seen much for coyotes but can hear them and the wolves east side of the Black River. If you want to try you are more than welcome. The bears are everywhere though. Hopefully the americans will thin them out my wife is a the point she doesnt like being at the cottage if Im not around because of them.
So much restrictions on hunting them around here....the one time I had a rifle with me and could of taken one I didnt' have the tag for it. Makes for some exitement when they return the call.
