coyote hunting ammo recommendations

What are the regulations for FMJ in BC? I'm of the opinion that it is illegal to hunt with hard point, non expanding bullets here, but reading the snippet from the Sask regs makes me wonder whether it was illegal for all game, or like in Sask only for big game?

That being said, I find there are more effective bullet choices, just asking out of curiosity.

if you are trying to save/recover the fur do not use FMJ ammo.yotes are hard enough to put/keep down with the proper weight/constructed hunting bullets.FMJ are target bullets not hunting bullets.using it will most likely lead to many wounded/lost animals.

I also just wanted to clarify that I too use 55gr vmax bullets. I have not used fmj's BUT I don't like it when people spread misinformation and call it a law. I do believe that a fmj should have no problem putting a yote down, lungs, heart, head, spine, stomach even should guarantee a certain death. Plenty of people use 22lr with great success. Ethically speaking I agree you should always use the most humaine method, but a confident shooter shouldn't be discouraged because he doesn't have "the ammo", a dead coyote is a dead coyote, and unless he's a warecoyte a regular fmj will put him down as well as a silver tipped blessed enchanted vmax :)
