Coyote Hunting anyone?

prairie blaster 2 with sako 85......S an B 4-16x50 varmint 8 dot reticle lays em down nice!!! 32 under my belt this season including taking buddies out,not just myself!! Pup in distress is bringin them in!!

Adrian don't be sorry for starting a discussion, I never thought about it, mostly because I am on good terms with the CO's in my area. I will pick up a distress call and give it a shot, if it brings my count up, great!

Foxpro, Foxjack2, mouth calls and either a .243 or .223 depending on the farm terrain and circumstances.

I use a turkey diaphragm call to imitate hurt pups and injured dogs after whelping season. Never considered any possible implications.
 
im using a midland gun company 243 bolt with barnes varmint garnades and an iphone with 15 dollar bluetooth speaker. i was able to get a free app that has 20 some odd calls. sounds good and is pretty load.

im going to give it all a try this coming week as the rifle just got sighted in yesterday
 
E-caller, motion critter and .223 stevens 200, has only killed one yote in the 4 years I've been trying it, but I see a few bobcats and a lot of foxes when employing it. Too bad for foxes and bobcats are off limits if you aren't a trapper. It has killed a lot of crows that make the mistake of landing where there is a good back stop behind them.
 
Ruger M77 MkII Target/varmit 25-06, Nikon Buckmaster 4.5-14x40 sf, Federal Fusion 120 gr.

Foxpro....i cant sing well at karaoke...so i leave the calling to e caller.

My rifle likes the Fusion and it doesnt make a mess of pelts, so i havent bothered to fix something not broken by loading for the Ruger. have started to leave the Benelli behind, as i have not called any into bayonet distance yet.

Can I ask what App you have? I downloaded the ihunt app and it has a lot of useful calls on it for $5
And what speaker are you using, and how far can you put it out away from you? Also cost??

Sorry for all the questions and not meaning to highjack the thread, but i've been messing with this idea for awhile now.

predator calls pro is the app. the speaker is the cheapest speaker the source had reg price was 23 bucks and it has a 10 meter range. that the farthest range of all but it takes the sound away from me. my app was also a freebe. sorry i dont remember the speaker name maker and im to lazy to go to the man cave to find out right now

if anyone is serious about this you need more then your iphone....you can call yotes in from 6 miles away in a valley with a prairie blaster! you might luck out wit the iphone,but it wont be very effective!!!

care to explain. i have clear sound, volume control, serveral different calls about the only thing i dont have is a decoy and the foxbang. its not just the phone im using im connected to a bluetooth speaker.

Um the foxpro has a dejoy built right in.....minus the cheap fake sound s of other calls! You need to be very diverse to get a smart coyote in! with the iphone you wont bring in a whole lot, im not trying to down you!! you need volume......

You'd be surprised... have seen it done... I use a foxpro myself but only have a spitfire.... There's a reason they call it a prarie blaster, hunting here in Ontario is differenet and too much volume presents an unnatural set.....
