Coyote Hunting Rigs

My coyote rigs consist of a remmy xr-100 in 204, a remmy 788 in 22-250 and a T/C pro hunter in 25-06 depending on walking distance and range of the shots. I do use some camo tape but only apply afew strips to the scope and barrel to break up the solid black silhouette. Does it work?. I dunno, but it can't hurt, right?.

I carry a Savage 22-250 with a 3X10 scope for the easy shots. My hunting partner carries a Remington 7mm Magnum for the longer shots. He does most of the calling and I do most of the shooting.

The first photo was taken in eastern Montana near Fort Peck. That coyote is a subspecies known as the "Montana Pale". The second photo is from central Montana near Great Falls. Montana has a lot of wide open space, with spotty coyote populations. Don't ask me why, I just know.

This is my newsest set up. Model 200 Savage in .223, Bushnell "Trophy" scope 4 X 12, 44mm.

Bought the rifle in the fall and scoped it this week.

This will replace my 308 BLR.

Can't wait to get out and try it.

My planned coyote rifle:

Sako 85 in 22-250 - still unfired
Zeiss Conquest 6.5-20 x 50 in Optiloks

(there will be no tape...)

My Tikka 695 in 6.5x55 with a Leupold 4.5-14 x 40 Boone & Crockett may also get used with 95gn Vmax's.

Recently picked up a Foxpro Fury, Jack-in-the-Box and a 2D coyote decoy. Can't wait to take out some coyotes!
