Coyote in quebec... all I have found is that I can use any caliber. They are considered small game and vermin. There is no bag limit? Open season all year.

Anything else would be nice.

Specifically:

If I kill one where do I bring it?
I CANNOT use FMJ. correct me if I am wrong but I recall my instructor saying it isnt allowed for anything.
Do I sell the pelt? Or is there a bounty on them like in some places in ON?

Thanks a lot.

As noted above, there are specific dates for coyote season........Better check the regs.
Where I hunt in zone 5, the season starts near the end of Oct and closes the end of March. Fox closes the end of Feb.
There is no bounty in Quebec.

One possibility is to locate a trapper who will take the entire coyote and skin it himself.

Go get the printed book with regulations. It has all the info you will need.Different zones have different dates. Some zones you are only allowed to use rifle after a certain date and wearing orange is required until december.

I don't mind skinning them. But where could i sell the skins?

Ok thanks. I see all that now.

Any word on if I can use fmj or not? I know someone who does but i recall being told otherwise..

In BC it is illegal to use non-expanding bullets. FMJ no go here. I'd suspect it to be the same there. They dont expand, so they dont transfer much energy into the target, they just tear a hole and the animal is much more likely to be able to run off and die where you cant find it...
