Ummm... You sure that's coyote??? In good ol' Saskibush, I shoot over 200 in the last few years I was there, and I rarely got one I couldn't lift with one hand. I'd say 45 pounds or so. I wouldn't call that a coyote anymore. Don't know what I'd call it. Colour is way off for what I expect as well.

That's a fairly typical Eastern coyote. More than a little wolf DNA in the mix.

Are you sure of the weight?
Here's one a got a couple yrs ago, weighed in the low 70s.
I'm 6' & run around 200lbs, notice his head is hanging on the ground as I struggle to hold him up without gettin blood all over myself. I would have guessed your weight around the 50ish mark, pics however can be decieving. At any rate keep up the good work, the only good wolf is a dead wolf.

Here in Nova Scotia coyotes that size are fairly common... we catch them that big trapping once in a while... and catch coyotes over 50 lbs very often. Seems like no two are the same color either... some are almost white and others are almost as red as a fox with lots of black on them.

I weigh every coyote I get. I got smaller ones and there usually females. I have one already full body mounted and it's way smaller. I'll post a picture of it. By the way thanks for posting my picture. I was posting it and the computer took a glitch. Must have lost it in the system somehow.

I also find that the bigger coyotes are also much braver. I got this one about 500yds behind my house. Not very nice if a person had children and one of these came wondering through.
