Great pic!

man they really look like dogs. Not sure if i could shoot one. I am a lifelong dog man. Maybe if they were causing me grief but as far as i am concerned they keep the rabbits and mice down so for now i am good with them. I think my electric fence keeps them away from the horses.

lol! Laugh2

Thanks for the laugh! ;)

Heres a few.

Savage model 10 predator, 243 win. 55 gr nosler varmegeddon. Now for those guys commenting on mangy coyotes the one in the back is what they look like when mangy.

Remington 870 with remington no. 4 buck 3" mag.

Last 2 sets. Remington 700 204 ruger with 32 gr vmax.

Interesting to see all the coyote pictures, but few Red Foxes ...
I know here in the Delta area there once where an abundance of Red fox, but when the Coy dogs moved in they took out the Red Fox....
Thanks for sharing the hunts.

hey Doc 25 nice shooting . i am curious to know at what distance did you get the coyote with the 870 shotgun? i have had a few at shotgun range, but have never shot one with a twelve guage . i have passed on shots that were close using a rifle because of unsafe backgrounds.

Bottom coyote is a male taken at 36 yards with a Remington 700 22-250.

Top one is the female the male was with. Taken with a Remington 700 6.8 spc at 335 yards.

Shot in the late fall.

I think it was around 40-50 yards or so. Can't really remember. Choke tube is an xtra full rem choke. The reason for the scope is none of my 870 barrels shoot to point of aim with the buckshot. Shot it twice with the 12g. Very little damage just pellet holes. If you're going to run a shotgun for coyote you really need to pattern it before using it. No 4 buck seems to be the round of choice. That is about the limit of my pattern. You may need to try different choke tubes to find something that works for you.

Ok, I'll bite. I've been watching this thread for a while now.Heres a cpl yotes I've taken over the past cpl years.

One of my first hunts. More of a fluke than anything. I was quite addicted after the first one. T97 with Burris Xtr 135 Reddot.

Next one with a Mossberg MVP in .223 with a Redfield Revolution 4x12x40 with accuplex. Great scope, still have it. Mossy went the way of the ghost

Then my current/favorite rig so far. A Weatherby Vanguard in .223, in a Hogue Overmold stock with Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5x16x42.

And heres one I got New Years Day 2015.

Sidenote* Every one of these yotes were taken on my families land. Before I met my wife, her family used to lose 2 calfs a year to coyotes. We havnt lost one since I started

Happy Hunting all.

Thread revival. Got another yote with the new scope. Bushnell Elite Tactical 4.5x30x50. Called him within 10 yards using a Western Rivers Navajo game caller. Hopefully first of many this season. Happy hunting all.
