This is a question for anyone who lives or farms in the Brant County, Ontario area.
I know coyotes are a problem in alot of southern ontario is there alot of them in the Brant county area? Sometimes I hear them at night in the orchard behind my house but not that often and I never hear of my neighbors losing animals or complaining about them. Also I'd like to know how much of a threat they are to my dogs (as predators and spreading disease). I have 2medium sized mastiffs that weigh roughly 100lbs a piece so I'm not too concerned about predation. I do let my dogs run around on their own at night though, usually they don't go far but you never know. What kind of diseases could my dogs catch if they get into something a coyote has been into? (ie. animal carcasses)
One more then I'm done, if I shoot a coyote on my own property and I don't have a hunting license can I get in sh*t? I don't want them anywhere near my house.
