Coyote Rifle

I just got the savage axis for Christmas,in .223. My buddy has a Stevens model 200 in 22-250,they are both cheap but shoot better than we can, when we were out last weekend, that 250 sounded like a cannon being touched off. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another axis, just have to do the trigger and upgrade the scope.

Don't cry too much, when it comes to centerfires we're restricted to under .23 cal outside of big game seasons here in New Brunswick.

Guys scared me for a second... I actually went and looked at the regs for AB... No calibre restrictions for varminting or Coyote.

If it goes "boom" - have at it.

We also have a surprising list of "permission from landowner" no permit required, all season, legal hunts for:

If your going to spend that much you might as well go with a Savage 11 with the accu trigger! I have the Axis XP in .223 with a trigger job, for $350 or less it can't be beat price wise and accurate to boot.

It was a win-win for a cheap yote gun for me.

Just bought the Savage 11 Trophy Hunter XP in 22-250. It has the AccuTrigger and a Weaver 3-9X40 scope. $525.00
