Heres my main coyote gun. I have nicer rigs but this is the one that i usually grab. Its a Model 70 Carbine in 22-250. 20 inch barrel and its topped with a Leupold VX1 4-12x40. Its nice and short and fits me perfect. Love this thing.

The second one is my pretty new Vanguard S2 in 257 weatherby topped with a Nikon Prostaff5 3.5-14. Got a few coyotes with it during deer season and it worked pretty good. My only complaint is that its a little heavy.

I've been drooling on this thread for a while now and was wondering.... how many of you are using electronic calls? Only one or two of you had a caller in your photos so I was just wondering since I was planning on going out with my 7mm-08 and my mount call to give it a try and see if its something I want to get into.

Thanks

I would suspect many of us use E-callers. I use an older Foxpro FX3 and it works great. I've considered upgrading a few times to the fancy newer models that can hold more sounds but it's not worth it considering probably 90% of the coyotes I've called in were with one sound, jackrabbit distress.

I use a Foxpro Fury GX7 and love it, that being said I still carry a full lanyard of hand calls so that I can alter pitch, etc. Sometimes an electronic call doesn't have the right sequence or pitch when a dog hangs up or challenges the call.

This thread has me excited. I have a friend who has a real issue, waiting to let the pelts thick up a bit.

I took my M77 mk2 in 22-250 out of the safe today.

Will post pics when I get out there. Going to sight it in this weekend for 200m, currently set for 400.

Region 2 in BC deer hunting ended Monday Dec 15 = I have already been frothing at the bit going nutz getting my coyote rigs ready.

Just need to load some more 40gr and 60gr V-Max 223 rounds, 52gr Speer TNT 22-250 rounds, going to try out my 204 Ruger.

I use hand calls, Foxpro FX3 E caller & spot and shoot techniques.

I have 3 ranches that have asked me to come up to help rid them of coyotes can hardly wait to get there which hopefully will be Sat - Mon right after Christmas.

Here's my main rig.

It's a Tac21 Chassis with the Skeleton Butt stock, Savage 11 action with precision ground lug. Broughton fluted barrel chambered in 6.5 creedmoor, rifle basix sav 2 trigger, tactical bolt handle, finished at 27". It's topped with a 4.5x14x50mm Zeiss conquest. It's a very accurate rifle. I'm using 129gr sst factory ammo. Building up brass, I haven't been able to find any virgin brass yet. It is 3/4-1" with factory ammo so the potential is there with hand loads to tighten it up a bit. Need to find a more pelt friendly bullet. I will be trying 120gr Gmx next. Hoping for small hole in small out.
