Shoots really nice. Hope to field test tomorrow. lol

Nothing fancy for me but I got a good shooter in a Weatherby Vanguard Series 2 in .223 with a Leupold VX-2 6-18 power scope. Haven't had a chance to tag and coy dogs with it yet but she's lined up and ready to go!

Both these serve me well depending where I am in Ontario with the caliber limit.
Back is a remington 700 .308
Front is a Savage 111 .270

I'm not worried about hide damage.

Weatherby vangaurd s2

This is my new coyote gun

Csa vz. 58
7.62x39mm

Posp 3x9x42
Illuminated reticle

Set up for home defence and coyote hunting.
Accurate up to 300 yrds atleast thats as far as I pushed it for a coyote kill
Flashlight is good for 100 yrds through scope
Laser is set for anything up to 30 yrds

Cheap rounds. Good gun

Until I buy a bolt action 17. Hornet, 204. Ruger, 223. Rem or something like that
Im sticking with this set up. Little heavy but whatever

My coyote medicine is

M700 VTR camo 223
Vortex 6.5-20x44 mildot
bipod - have not shot it much so don't know what it likes yet

bought it for targets and gongs but should work good on the yotes, usually just shoot 'em in the afternoon with whatever rifle I have with me.

My early bump to this thread, the season is almost upon use!

What do you mean almost on = I shot 2 last week.

First one was at 30 yards running directly at me shot it with my 14" barreled T/C Contender carbine in 375JDJ loaded with 235gr Claw bonded bullets @ 2200fps

Second was at 50 yards as it was also running towards me shot it with my 26" barreled Rem 700 LSS in 300RUM loaded with 200gr Accubonds @ 3200fps.

I saw 5 more but these were the only ones I had a chance to get off my motorcycle and shoot.

Oh yeah use what you got in hand... :)
