Coyote rigs!!!!!!!

Factory Ruger 77V in 6mm Rem, 4.5-14 VXIII and 70 gr BT's. I shot a 0.21" 3 shot 100yrd group with this last week at the range, incredible old gun. It doesnt like coyotes very much.;)

Nice picture!!!
I'll be using a Savage 12BVSS in 22-250 with a Bushnell 6-18x50 and my pre-64 Winchester 70 in 220 Swift with a Nikon 4-12x40

My favorite walk around cyote gun is a Rem 600 in 222. Other then that, too many choices. 17 Rem, 204 Ruger, 222 Rem, 223, 223 AI, 222 Rem Mag, 22 BR, 22 PPC, 22-250, 22-250 AI, 22 CHeetah, 22-243 Middlestead. And that's just the 22's. My LR coyote gun is a 240 Gibbs built on a Win 70 in an HS Precision stock, Smith fluted stainless gain twist barrel. Reaches out there for the ones that are running away. - dan

Savage has really stepped up their game this year with these SS with wooden stocks. I bought a 114 in 270 and it has become my favourite rifle and it shoots lazers. Might have to go back and buy more in other calibres if they shoot half as straight as my 114 does

mine shoots fairly straight

here's tonight's 20 round group @ 200 meters, 2.23"

Something a little different, an H&R Ultra Varmint Fluted in 223 with A Falcon Menace 10X42.

Really needed to add the cheek riser and extra pad spacers to get her set-up correctly.

As a budget yote gun (also runs double duty as the bringer of Gopher DOOM!) I think it worked out A OK.

She even loves Winchester White Box ammo (insert cheap bastard comment here).

I've chrony-ed my 45gr 22-250 at an average of 3940fps. That aint far off what the side of the box claims.:D

in 22" barrel's I've chrony'd the 223 @ 3200 fps and the 22-250 @ 3500. I believe claims are 3700 & 4000 fps. Every gun is different I guess!

I posted this on another thread but here it is again. Remington ADL Synthetic .223 with a Burris FFII BP 4.5-14 in Leupold mounts. Bipod is on/off depending on my mood...

(This pic is a couple years old but the rifle hasn't changed, just taken more coyotes ;))

And here's my wife's coyote rifle. She missed a coyote out the back door once as my .223 was too awkward for her to handle quickly she claimed. So I went and did what any good husband would do and picked her up a compact rifle. Good excuse to buy another gun, eh? It's a Remington Model Seven .243 that now sports a Leupold Vari-X 3-9 Compact in Leupold mounts. However, I tend to "borrow" it a lot as it's a handy truck gun in areas where wolf sign is abundant...

Only picture I have of mine. Savage 11FCNS .223 50gr V-Max Moly's over 25gr IMR3031 with a Redfield Revolution 3-9x40 scope. Chrony'd 3 ten shot groups for an average velocity of 3334fps and an average group size of .96 of an inch for ten shot groups. I just about shat my pants considering I picked the rifle up for $560 from Cabelas last year.

does this count? I rolled a running coyote while hunting moose today with my 1949 Brno 22F in 7x57 with 175 gr. round nose bullet.

I normally use a Sako Vixen L461 .222 but when calling in thick brush this winter I plan to use this Heym combo, 16 ga/.222
