Ok it's a permanent deer stand, built into the tree, it can't be moved. If I see a yote from the stand and shoot it. Is the area around my stand "busted" , because of the yote smell. Shoot or not it is my question. Thanks Chris

Had me worried about the advice there also.....

Shooting a yote shouldn't cause issues around your stand. I have game game pics where deer followed close behind pics of yotes.
If anything, there may be a slight affect of death, blood, etc. for a few hours, but I've never witnessed any solid evidence of it.

Two years ago had a coyote come out just at sunrise I was itching to pull the trigger but waited cause it was opening morning. 30 seconds later out comes #2 then #3, up goes the , 25 and I nail 2 for 3. Two hours later I shot a nice 8 point. I don't hesitate any more I shoot every one I can!!!

I've seen a friend shoot a coyote from his stand. Later that day he shot deer from it. He had shot deer from it earlier in the day before the coyote appeared. Don't worry about it.

I have watched deer while someone else shot at a target. The deer stopped eating and looked toward our direction, but soon went back to eating again. About 400 to 500 yards away from us on the edge of a bush. I don't think deer understand the concept of "guns" and have no real fear of a gun shot sound unless it is very close. Most deer hear lots of stuff every day from traffic, industry, farming, logging, and other stuff. A sudden sound alerts them, but unless it's close enough to startle them, they just make sure nothing is coming and then go about their business.
