coyotes getting harder to find

In the last week I have seen less than 10 coyotes. I've fired 6 shots, missing 1 running & 1 by not checking the range. (260 yd rested, I shot over). No tracks around bait & nothing coming to my calls. I'll have to work a different area for awhile. I"ll check out some of the area feed lots & see if anything is happinig there. Just frustrated, thanks for listenig Aj

Breeding season for coyote is here. Give it time and you will see lots and hopefully doubles.
We have a huge problem with them here and will try to shoot as many as possible.
Our deer and small game population is shrinking for no other reason than a large coyote population.

Feb is breedinig season here, but you are right I have see a few couples, also some 3s. The #####es are not rubbed or bitten yet.

I am coming up empty.

I am sure your luck will improve soon enough. If I see 10 coyotes over the next two years while calling them in Ontario I will be very happy.

"...Our deer and small game population is shrinking..." Nope. Certainly not around K-W. The insurance companies are paying out millions in deer/vehicle collision claims. Took the MNR years to finally allow more than one deer tag anywhere in Ontario.

I have a few vacancies on my coyote hide stretchers here. I'll make sure to make them feel at home,(on hide driers) where they belong.

Quite afew in my area. There`s been 3- 5 gallon pails of paws from coyotes come in to our RM to collect the bounty so far. I seen 10 dogs today in 80km but didn`t have a gun with me today.
