Coyotes take down a buck on camera

Got this from a friend who says it was on a coworkers game cam this fall. I can't believe they got the buck down.

These have been floating around for a few months now on the internet, they arent from a friend of a friend.

Things to consider - We dont know if the buck was healthy or previously injured. Its IMPOSSIBLE to know based on these pictures.

Hmmmm, another Farley Mowat.
Like wolves, coyotes will take down all sorts of prey and they need not be old or sick. Yes those pics have been around a while and regardless where they came from, it's quite obvious they killed the deer.
 
It was some Texan or Oklahoman who owned the camera. If your friend is a friend of his then I guess that works.
 
Sick, lame, injured, healthy..whatever. Its a predator being a predator. They are great photos. The advent of game cameras will go a long way to dispell or confirm animal populations and behaviours. I leave mine out all year hoping to capture events like this.
