I see a lot of people supporting Leslyn Lewis for the wrong reasons. If you’re voting for a candidate so you can’t be called a racist or a misogynist, you’re letting your opposition win. The political spectrum has shifted so far left and gun owners have been demonized so badly that they are literally jumping at the opportunity to vote for someone just so you can’t be called a bad name. It’s pathetic!

Has anyone actually spoke with Leslyn Lewis regarding her personal views on guns? Yes, I see her website has a tiny blurb on her website about her “common sense” approach to gun control but that isn’t enough for me. I have heard through channels that she personally doesn’t support the idea of private firearm ownership and is just using it as a platform to get elected. The LAST thing we need is another conservative government who won’t repeal liberal gun control bills, the LAST thing we need is another Kim Campbell.

PEOPLE, WE ARE AT THE END OF OUR ROPE, WE ONLY HAVE ONE CHANCE AT THIS! What we need is a bulldog! Someone who isn’t afraid of the media, someone who will be just as aggressive and as ruthless FOR us as the liberals have been AGAINST us. For me that isn’t Leslyn Lewis and it certainly isn’t Peter MacKay. You need to think long and hard about who you want to lead the charge, because this may very well be your LAST CHANCE as a gun owner.

I want her to win so that when all the lefties and the media try to brand her as racist and ###ist etc. the people in the middle will see the blatant attacks (which will come) on her character and feel the urge to distance themselves from the bat s#%t crazies. I see absolutely no indication that the CPC have a chance with a potential snap election, so whatever will assist in splitting the country is fine by me.
 
As Canadian communities face an increase in violent crimes, the Trudeau Liberals are reverting to their failed playbook of demonizing law-abiding firearms owners.

Canadians from large urban centers to remote and rural communities are fed up with Trudeau’s inaction and want to see meaningful steps taken to keep their families safe. Justin Trudeau will penalize law-abiding and responsible firearms owners as a cover for his own inaction. I will not.

I want to address Justin Trudeau’s recent announcement, which will have significant ramifications for Canada's law-abiding firearms community.

To be clear - I will undo the changes made by Order in Council and repeal Bill C-71.

Recently, Trudeau implemented provisions of Bill C-71, passed by the previous Liberal government with the support of the NDP. This bill included a firearm ban that includes many common firearms owned and safely used by Canadian hunters, sports shooters and collectors.

While the bill penalizes Canadians who already go to great lengths to follow the law, the new measures do nothing to address problems caused by those who possess guns illegally or who smuggle them across the border.

As you know, Canada has a licensing system that includes an intensive screening process, rigorous training, and daily background checks. Canadian firearms owners are diligent about following the rules because safety is hardwired into the culture of lawful firearms ownership in this country.

I have always stood with our lawful Canadian firearms community who along with all Canadians, share a commitment to public safety. As a senior minister in the cabinet of Prime Minister Stephen Harper, I proudly supported the repeal of the ineffective and expensive long-gun registry in 2011.

I will stand once again, this time as Prime Minister, to bring forward legislation to repeal Bill C-71 and replace it with a law that targets violent crime that is prevalent in rural communities and urban centres, illegal guns, organized crime and smugglers. This is what will make Canadians safer.

Canadians are searching for solutions, not Liberal talking points that make headlines.

So, here are just a few of the steps a MacKay Conservative government will take to tackle serious violent crime and make our streets safer for everybody:

Immediately introduce measures to crack down on illegal firearms.
Provide for mandatory minimum penalties for possession and end the revolving door for repeat offenders.
Take the $600 million the Trudeau government proposes to spend on a wasteful gun buyback program and invest that money with frontline policing and Canada Border Services to go after the illegal guns that pose a real threat to Canadians.
Take decisive action to combat organized crime, which operates in cities, and more recently rural communities across Canada.
Toughen measures to deter and catch smuggling by seizing vehicles at the border where illegal guns are found.
I will always stand with the lawful firearms community in Canada and all Canadians to fight the real criminals who put our communities at risk.

Bro....where the f*** do guns fit in there??

I fail to see how electing your new black mommy who doesn't give a sh*t about personal firearms ownership just so the opposition can't call you a racist is going to prevent your lawfully acquired property from being confiscated. Leslyn Lewis doesn't care about your guns and is simply doing the smart thing and garnering votes from a sizeable block of voters by making a promise that will disappear like a fart in the wind once she is elected.

It doesn’t matter how far left you go, it will never be enough to satisfy them. Just look at when O’Toole and MacKay said they would march in the pride parade, the media criticized them for not doing more. You will never win playing by their rules. The media is public enemy #1 and should be disregarded entirely.

We need an absolute win, a majority government, nothing less will suffice.

The way to get that majority is by appealing to the 6-8% of voters who are not part of the 32% of the electorate who are the CPC base but who are potential CPC voters........and the party does not do that by moving right on social issues. People vote for their own self interest and that is a strong economy. To quote Bill Clinton circa 1992...."It's the economy stupid"
 
My first choice is Leslyn Lewis. This might seem counter-intuitive, butI've given this a great deal of thought, and, in my estimation, she is the single person most likely to lead the CPC to government. Read her platform, watch her interviews, and think about it.

I do believe that she speaks truth. If you're tempted to believe random (unknown-to-you) GunNutz, breathlessly sharing their 'sources say she doesn't like guns', please read her platform, and watch her interviews (including the NFA interview), and then please remember what President Trump has said about the real meaning of the phrase 'sources say'.

The media is responsible for all the voter fraud, and they are not ignored. I do not see an avenue to a Conservative government, let alone a majority. I am not talking about out-lefting leftists. I just want to help point out the absurdity of the situation to the centrists and get them to recognize that there is no appeasement of the left, that our country is completely divided, and the only way forward is doing something drastic.

Is is so when they do call HER racist etc. that maybe the fence sitters will see the absurdity. Any party that parades gun legislation roll back will never be elected, regardless of facts. The bought and paid for media will take care of that. Honestly, i fear the only way out of this mess is to go straight through it.
