CPC Leadership

My wife and I just joined. @John, thanks for this thread, it totally motivated us to spend the money, join the part and do more than just vote. Next, researching the candidates. I liked O'Toole during the last leadership campaign, but Lewis looks like she'd be a great leader too. What's the word on Sloan?

Sloan is too easy for the left to sling the typical "woke" insults at, and so far he has been playing into their hands, IMO. The whole "populist, grass roots thing" is an automatic fail in the current Canadian political climate, it seems.

We need someone that can be elected, that's the long and short of it. I agree on the abortion bit though, she needs to leave that out of things. One can be anti-abortion and leave it at that.

Trump dealt with a similar issue in what I believe to be the best way possible. When he was continuously hounded by the media etc accusing him of being against ### marriage and they would try to bait him by asking how he felt about it, all he said was that it did not matter what his opinion was, the supreme court had already made their decision and it was enshrined in law. End of story. She will need to do the same thing, and I can see her being able to pull it off, lawyers seem to have a way with words.

I think it is also a very good point someone made about Generation Z. My kids are gen Z and I know some of their friends. Some of them are brainwashed imbeciles, but the ones who aren't are solidly right-wing from what I can tell. These are people who have been exposed to diverse media their whole lives, have seen countless hours of left-wing propaganda and then had it all undone in 30 minutes of Jordan Peterson vs. Kathy Newman or a few episodes of the Rubin Report, Joe Rogan, whatever...

"Neo-woke" is right-wing, folks.

Like my daughter told me, "when all the teachers and all the media and all the movies are trying to sell us some ####, we instinctively know it is ####."

Done.
Also Registration and donation - done !

Just did the survey I must say I am impressed she is asking us the people not advisers to sell her what they think, she is gauging the peoples comments, she wants to learn the issue and how to improve it I am even more impressed!!

Is anyone seeing that the bought and paid for media is giving basically 0 attention to leslyn lewis ? Almost seems like their financiers are trying to avoid her being an option .

exactly! they dont want her they know she is a threat they want otoole or mackay any same old white guy they can use their standard OP on

Everyone loves Ford right now, hes absolutely killing it in the polls.

The only hope is that Ford vacates his post and runs for the CPC leadership.

A hes not running
B hes doing well now but was blamed for many lost seats in last election cause people dont like him.media would destroy him

Threw my lot in with Dr. Lewis. I understand she's not tested yet, however, I did email her office regarding her stance on topics not only including firearms, and I received a very personalized response within 25 minutes. She has my vote. Somehow I feel like I wouldn't receive the same from the other candidates. But I will send the same emails regardless just to be sure and fair. For now, Dr. Lewis from my end.

What’s wrong with truly being right wing and conservative? I’m noticing a lot of comments here are against being ideologically conservative. I personally think the problem in Canada is that the right has shifted too far to the left. There are barely any ideologies and principles that make the CPC truly conservative. If we become pro-abortion and allow the LGBT123 movement have their way, we’ll be back to square one with a clown of a PM because we didn’t have enough of a backbone to say no. The left don’t hide their ideologies, they’re pushing them into schools to convert our children. What difference is there between their principles and ours? Where do we draw the line?

A solid foundation of principles is needed to foster our country to accept our right to bear arms. Be it for sport, hunting, and what should be a fundamental human right: self-defence. I can only hope that whoever takes the helm of the CPC doesn’t sweep the touchy subjects under the carpet, or promise change now and lie about it later. This isn’t just about firearms, it’s about not compromising on morals and principles, these are the foundations of our beliefs for a better Canada for us and our loved ones.

Just my two cents.

First lets just not sabotage the election, as we've seen before, once you're in power you makes the rules , not before. Ain't you here for saving your guns? You don't have to accept all the '' we love everybody and everything is ok and there's more gender now than pokemons and you must accept everybody'' To understand that if there's more of them against us, they'll vote laws so they can take away all our firearms...

I assure you I am absolutely not here to sabotage any sort of elections. My pick is least likely to win in the CPC, but I stand by him because I’m more concerned about the ideological aspect which goes largely ignored by our candidates. I wanted to raise a little awareness and hopefully shed some light that there is always a lot more than our firearms at stake when it comes to elections. Due to the recent event in Nova Scotia we are now thrust into the spotlight. I’d hate to see certain candidates take advantage of that after we give them our vote, and proceed to direct other policies in a completely different direction.

Any candidate that is outwardly pro life or against pro choice or has been in the past or has said or done things against alternate lifestyles will perish in the next election! This is a 100% truth as was proved with Sheer and his failed attempt. 58% of women voted for Trudaeau last time, that number cannot stand this time around or WE lose! We need a lot of voters to cross over, please remember this! Anyone who has the above issues should not even be considered for a cabinet position as the liberal media will blow it up and drop the hammer on a Conservative majority!

Just joined specifically to put Mackay number 4 on my ballot.

Do they allow you to not write his name down leave choice 4 blank?

So far I'm going with this ballot but could change in the coming weeks.

1. Erin O’Toole
2. Leslyn Lewis
3. Derek Sloan
4. F@(|( Mackay

Feels like I just burned $15 bucks.

For those waking up with a queasy stomach here is the alarm tune I use to wake up and start my day.
Keep the faith!

Just watched some interviews with Ms. Lewis. She makes no bones about influence that religion has on her policy decisions, and although that candour is refreshing, I don't think she will ever be Prime Minister.

I had a great chat with Dr Lewis last night.

Here are some of the points given to her:
- Introduce more protection of personal property in the charter of rights and liberty by reinforcing chapter 7.

- Change the criterias in order that firearms advisory committee meet a minimum of knowledge and a PAL should be required.

- OIC should be used in exigent circumstances only and have a sunset clause, should not be binding until a proper bill is introduced and debated

She was very receptive and did say if elected she would reverse this ban and revamp the firearms act.
She was straight up and wasn’t weaseling away from questions. She has my vote.
