CQ-311 handguards

Hi all:

I'm looking to replace the factory furniture on my CQ-311 starting with the handguards. Does anyone have any recommendations on good replacements (and places to buy them) that aren't too expensive (this is a Nork, after all).

Options from Fabsports, Wolverine Supplies, Marstar etc. pretty much everyone who carries any AR-15's or AR-15 accessories

The handguards themselves are completely interchangable with regular AR-15 length handguards. The slipring is a ##### to remove, but that's all that holds the handguards down.

Remove?!? I hope you meant "pull back"?? No need to remove the slip ring unless you're putting a free-float handguard on the rifle... IMHO, you should try to find yourself a decent set of the triangular handguards - they look best on the CQ-311. When I had one briefly a few years ago, I found a full set of furniture on Ebay (triangular handguards, A1 pistol grip, and old school M16 buttstock with no trap door) for a pretty decent price. I used all of the existing hardware and just replaced the OEM Norinco furniture with the newly acquired plastic... HTH's.

Yeah I meant 'pull back' the slipring like some kind of damned demonic foreskin.
M16A1 style Vietnam era triangular handguards go well with the colour of the stock and the gray finish of the rifle.
