CQ-A from Lever question...

I saw read a post that the CQ-A sold at Lever Arms weren't the same as the ones sold from Marstar and they weren't compatible with aftermarket AR parts.

Is there any truth to this, or were they talking about an older version?

I know the original Norcs (20 inch barrel i believe..?), were not compatible with after market AR15 stuff. But all of the new ones (14.5 & 10.5") are.

Someone else will chime in for the definit answer, but thats what I recall reading

My first Norc M4 was from Lever - no issues. You'll hear a lot of BS things said about Norc products, that's one of them.

I'd say that's BS. I got one from Lever a few months ago and it's fine. Some peopel hate on Lever and the Norcs, but I've never had any problems from either.
