cq311 confusion...

I've read a bunch of threads on this, and now I'm confused... Some people say it's a milspec buffer, some comercial, some measured it and say it's neither. If you buy the adaptor from Fabsports, will any stock fit? Some guys are saying you can't use the new buffer tube, just the plastic bits. Can someone tell me once and for all? I'm just asking about the stock here, not handguards and flash hiders.

Are you talking about the M4 version or the original Rifle length ?

mine has surplus A2 stock on it, and ive got the origional norc one too. both fit well, but i dont know if the buffer is origional since im at least the thrid owner. maybe captain paul will chime in whether or not he swapped it out.

If you want to put a standard AR stock it will be little tight but it will go on. If you want to install a carbine stock you'll have to get the adapter from Fabsports or try to retread the lower receiver.
