Black rifle lovers: Here's your chance to pick up some skills from Hungry (moi) and Timk of the Service Rifle fame....

CQB Clinic 1
Sat 27 June, Langemark range, Bay 2, CFB Borden
Time : 1200 – 1600 hr
Entry Fee : $25 members, $45 non members

This is the first of the CQB clinics.
It will cover the basics of your rifle or carbine.
Including :
- reliable rifle
- sling
- proper bolt lube.
- tac vest / pouch set up.
- mag changes.
- multiple target engagement.
- timed snaps and rapids.

Ammo needed : 200 – 300 rds

No pistol is required for this clinic, but you may wear your full rig as desired.

Weather is expected to be sunny and hot. Bring sufficient fluids to drink and sun screen.

Jeez Hungry, can us non locals get some warning next time. I'd love to make one of these, but to make the 6 hr drive both ways and plan for it, I need more than two days notice.

It would have taken all the power of a mastrubatring gerbil suffering muscular dystrophey for me to twist Tbloggins arm into convincing him to go on a road trip!

Besides, I want to hear how frequent you say,"or your #### will fall off", when referring to something in 5.56?

Since this is a carbine clinic, and it ain't mine, I'm more laid back with the "Your #### will fall off" comments... BUT (big but) if you don't get fully automatic cuts in my M4 upper receiver then surely yer #### will fall off!

Awesome day today. I should have pictures up by tomorrow sometime. Can't thank you guys enough for putting this on.

As a bonus we all made it through the day without out dicks falling off.

I couldn't help but notice how well the two Norinco ARs did today. No problems (I did have a double feed that may be a mag problem).

Not a single LMT or LaRue was able to complete the session.

This was a great experience and look forward to the competition. Great job all.

TimK is networking with Savage and the APRA or CSRA in Calgary as we speak. Yup, you guys can fly TimK out there for a clinic just like we did with the M14 Clinics. Trust me, after we finish with you CQB'ers.... you will be good and competent and FAST!!

In the meantime, let's wait for others to tell you how our clinic went. Don't just take my word for it...

This clinic was A1. The attendees were all easy going laid back folks and the instructors (T & H) take pride in teaching new techniques. We did lots of practice with live fire . We were advised on the timing, mag changes and stages of the course.

I like it a lot because it involves thinking while under stress. Thank you Tim and Hungry for making this and other fun and informative events possible.

BTW I'll stick to my 9mm Storm - no issues and accurate as hell for short distance. If any one has pictures that can’t post here I wouldn’t mind having my portion sent to me. PM me.
