CQB in Winnipeg?

I looked on the forums here for CQB Winnipeg dates/contacts but seem to have come up empty. Can some one point me in the right direction?

No one is organizing shoots like the ORA CQB matches in Manitoba. If there was someone with the time and skills, I'm sure they'd be popular.

I've got no reply on this, so I'm going on the assumption that there are no matches. I tried looking up the St Charles rifle club because it ran in the back of my mind that they might do it, but got no joy.
I'm at East Selkirk to. If we can't get a match going maybe we could get a few practice sessions set up. I'm just looking for an intro.

This is just my humble opinion, but I suggest everyone who can get a CQB started in their area. We can certainly help with any questions/rules.

JRW-QOR has it right. Lemme know if you want/wish for some CQB fun. I'm swinging through on my way back from the Left Coast in the end of July... Seems to me back in 2010 on 01 or 02 Aug, I was there at Selkirk doing an M14 clinic!

I'm from just south of Brandon. I'm sure we could get something set up at the MWF range there. I've shot 3 gun there, but I've never shot cqb. I'd absolutely help set it up though if someone helped guide us along.

You don't need a military range either to do CQB. Here in Ontario, we have a CQB match at our local gun club (Guelph Rod & Gun Club). You need a minimum range of about 50y with about 10 shooting positions. All it requires is some guys to get together to plan and organize this and get approval from your local gun club board. As mentioned, the ORA is more than happy to help with suggestions, course of fire, etc. to get you started. Tactical Teacher is also a great resource.

Same goes for me it's new to me but I would gladly help setup for events!

You can get by with less shooting positions. Just have less shooters in each relay.

Not quite CQB but an M14 Clinic in Virden, MB for 10 Sep 2015, Thursday. But (big BUT) I do have all my CQB stuff with me since I'll be on my way to St. Paul, AB for 19-20 Sep 2015, CQB clinic!

Anybody wanna host me for my return swing around the 3-4 Oct weekend? I just need the okay from your GC. Also, I need a pointman to do the organizing with the club executive on the ground level.

I belong to the cfb Winnipeg gun club, you could check with the executive to see if there is any interest in this shoot. We are at St Charles range Tuesday and thursday evenings weather and light permitting, and Saturday afternoons.
