CQB NOOB Wannabe information

Will there be a CQB clinic this year in GTA area?
I would like to try CQB. I read what I could find and watched videos from past events but I guess it all make sense when you know what is happening. I still have very limited understanding what would I need and who I should contact to learn more.

Sorry, no clinic scheduled this year. Just come out to the regular matches. We do a complete live fire run through all the matches before the actual matches. Your relay members will be more than happy to help you with any tips and tricks. Although we all like to win, we mostly come out for the fun. The more come out for these matches, the better you get.

Thank you for reply.
So the next one is April 8? I received the schedule but there's no info on place where it will take place.
Next question - should I be a member of ORA to participate? Is CQB a section under ORA or should I apply or register somewhere else?
How would I get ATT to get there with restricted?

April 8th is the first match at CFB Borden, Langemark Range.

I believe the new ruling is a guest can shoot one CQB match (per year?) before they have to join the ORA, you would have to pay whatever the guest fee is on top of the match fee.

You contact the match director, confirm your attendance (and probably prepay by EMT), and he will send you a letter of invite, that you can send to the CFO to get your STATT to get you to Borden.

Does anyone know if there will be CQB training in the Fraser Valley or Vancouver area in 2017? I'm terrible and need some help lol.

Unfortunate that there's no clinic. The clinic's main purpose is to introduce the newbies to the sport from what gear works to whats expected of them in the range and CQB match.

You "need" to be able to store one pistol mag and 3 rifle mags. I say "need" as it is the absolute minimum, because you could walk to the line with the second pistol mag in your hand and a rifle mag too. The first commands are to install those two mags in your guns.

I think everyone has storage for 4 rifle mags and 2 pistol mags. For some events you need 5 rifle mags, but the 5th one is not a peed re-load, so I just stick it in my back pocket until I need it.

here are some pictures that will give you an idea of the rig. A vest or bib to hold rifle mags. A belt to hold a pistol holster with a 2 mag pouch. A pretty simple kit.

Hey, it's been a while since i've played. I used to keep a print out of the match stages so I can keep all my mags bombed up, but I lost it. Was wondering if anyone could PM me a break down of each stage so I can redo my little reminder card. Just an ammo and mag count basically. Thanks in advance!
