CQB thread

As far as I'm concerned the issue is dead and over.

Not my loss. Definitely was not expecting the, being nice, reaction I got. Had I known I would not have submitted the suggestion in the first place. Our fun shouldn't be in reading back and forth comments here, it should be enjoying our shooting sports and games. We all have different events we like to do, and don't like to do. I do not hunt, it's against my world view, but I would NEVER tell anyone who does they should not.

My apologies to those who have been affected negatively to the exchanges in that thread.

Off to spend the day watching the Longwoods Battle reenactors...

Couldn't hurt to let it run and see where it takes us, I still have doubts that CQB would be feasible on a civilian range without gutting it to the point where it's no longer the same sport. But who knows might be a good conversation to have, might gain us some interest in IPSC rifle and shotgun too.

Kinda hard to stay positive when you get dogpiled, especially by guys that have no connections to either EESA or ORA CQB...

Not sure at what point the original sport becomes diluted enough that it then becomes something totally different, but the vid here shows what I guess are being called rifle standards at a 3gun match in the states.

Not sure if the transition to second firearm would pass at a private range but it could possibly be set up as two separate stages/events.

And the monitored firing line could progress unloaded to the next shooting position.

Not totally the original sport, but maybe "safe" enough to pass the scrutiny of a CFO/Board of a private range?

Simply punching holes in paper gets stale after a while so I'm always looking to add some variety.
Not sure if CQB is my thing but won't know till I try it.

To JRW, Good on you for your efforts till now, but don't give up so soon.
Find a compromise between what is happening on the DND range at what is ultimately acceptable at a range.
Seems people at EESA are willing to work with you.
