We all had a great day. Weather was not too bad. Fantastic gang, it was great spending the day with them.

People learn from the last match and brought shelters!

Hmmm, you guys lay on the opposite side from us in the modified prone. We lay on the right side, gun close to the ground. Makes neat divots!

Should be practicing both. Strong side for shooting under low obstacles and support side for low slits like over a curb but under a car.

We have to keep in mind that some shooters have very expensive pistols.

I cannot have them ruined with rocks, i don't think they would come back to the matches... I have the moral obligation to respect people's budget and property.

It also makes it interesting for the mag change, using your right hand, I didn't seat it well on my 2nd fig 11, poof missed my 5 shots and a potential 50pts! lol

This was one of the most organized and well run CQB match's I have attended...Subway Lunch was provided and prizes after the match!
I won a P-MAG GEN2 :)

Great to see this in Quebec and lots of appreciation to MEM for making this happen...
Can't wait until next year :)

I got to get into this CQB matches. I did them years back when the ORA was just introducing them into the Service Rifle program. It's slick as heck now. Anyong bring an M14?

Some have, several times. I did a few times until it got too heavy waiting for the whistle. I shoot a Cz858 now.

I actually shoot left handed while on my right side. Right hand supporting the firearm at the fore stock, into my right shoulder. Use my left hand to fire and change mags. Very stable.

Glad to see this sport spreading across the country. I am curious if this match was run solely in french or all commands in english and french. I ask as I think it would be fun to travel there for a match sometime just for the experience of a new range, however I only speak English.

The commands are really simple to learn and its the exact same cadence as the English run CQB match... One thing I suggest as for next year maybe have a copy of the Course Of Fire translated for any people coming out of Province then when competing it would be very simple in their head to translate...I agree with the match director there is no time to run/instruct in both languages so its better he sticks to running it all in French at Val Cartier just like at the ORA CQB they do it all in English.

I can't see myself ever getting that far east to attend one of these matches but they sure do look like a bundle of fun. Anyone care to lay out the course of fire?.
