Which clip are you refering to? The mag tensioner or the belt clip? They both work well on the ones I have, though a thicker, 1 1/2" belt would be the right size for the belt clip/loop.

I have 2 for my Glock for IDPA. They are great.

The retention clip is a hook that goes around the belt and stops the pouch from being pulled off. It will accomodate up to a 2" belt.
