Crack or Hair in brand new VX-6 2-12X42

I have the same scope, from the same vendor...
It doesn't have that and I think it is the perfect example of things that any vendor would replace.
 
Well, the rifle it's destined for is at Reliable getting backup irons installed (not a coincidence!) and my tracking number says the scope got to PR on the 4th. Warranty service being what it is, I hope I have both back in time to sight in for next year's hunting season.
 
I got the rifle back from the gunsmith in an astonishing 3 weeks.

Clayton at Prophet River has been great about communication regarding the scope, but I haven't seen it back yet. I'm hoping the VX-6 doesn't share the sticky reticle problem my other two leupold scopes have. I'd like to try that CDS system out!

Sighting in my 270 got a lot easier once I figured out the reticle wouldn't move until a shot was fired! :)
 
So, the denoument (that means where we catch the bad guy!)

Without so much as tipping me off, Clay at Prophet River and the Korth Group sent me a brand new scope.
