Cranbrook Deer - Protective Doe

Who cares?

1.) who ever owns the loose cat should be charged
2.) the person who owns the off leash dog should also be charged

Wild animals get to roam FREE pets do NOT!

Dog=Predator

Doe with Fawn=Dangerous

You do the math

Keep your damn dog on a leash, and if you dont, dont whine when it gets hit by a car, or attacked by a doe.

Yep, if it's not in your yard, it's in someone else's. Still, hope the dog's OK.

Next time I go for a walk in the woods with the shotgun for protection, and a Conservation Officer says "Protection from what?", I'll say "Deer" - and see how I enjoy walking home without my truck lol

That was a pretty good stomping the dog took. The doe and fawn were very tolerant of the cat, but I doubt the doe saw the cat climbing all over the fawn.

Should the dog have been on a leash - yup
Was the cat an instigator - yup

Maybe you guys don't live in a town with several hundred deer running around. No predators in town equals deer moving in to calf and reside. Maybe next time it will be a little kid walking home from school. Then what will it be the kids fault for walking down a sidewalk in the middle of town at 315?

You should see what happens in the park across from my house when the mulie's are in rut. You just don't go to the park... Maybe I should go walk down the street where the deer attacked the dog (which was only a few blocks away... not half way across the country where some of you reside) with my shotgun and claim it's for protection against the dangerous deer. I bet that would make another youtube video. "crazed man with shotgun taken down by RCMP"

No it wouldn't be the kids fault it would be the parents fault see how that works....if you know deer are in the area giving birth and may be aggressive then you should take the steps needed to protect you little ones and pets.

This is also the result of lower numbers of hunters as well as restrictive bylaws that prevent hunting even bow hunting closer to towns.....remember the land you built your house on and your starbucks used to be these animals home!...So its YOU and I that need to learn how to deal with it if we weren't destroying their habitat these issues wouldn't happen.

I see exactly how it works, for you. If I lived in a big city maybe I would lean the same way you do, but I don't. I live in the middle of no where in a small town. With your logic I guess we should pack up the town and move it to Calgary...

PS Thanks for the lesson on how life works...
