Crazy beaver hunting

What is the bounty on them in Saskatchewan. No such thing when I lived there .

There is no provincial bounty. It is a Rural Municipality bounty. My RM has a $10 per beaver tail bounty. In the northern part of this RM is "chockoblock" full of sloughs and beavers.

It is a shame the pelts are worthless. I don't have the time nor the desire to learn to tan the hides myself, so they become bear and coyote food.

We’ve had problems with beavers in my neck of the woods for a few years now. I found 12 ga with buck shot worked the best. The pattern can cover allot of area without being so picky on the target. One thing I found out is don’t miss the first time because they learn pretty quick...

Don't tell the bleeding hearts in Oshawa, the beaver is just as cuddly and cute as a teddy bear. Shoot them pests. Over grown water rats.

I nail every beaver I get a shot at, What I found works the best for me is to bang them head first in the headboard for a extended period of time until unconscious, remove and discard. Warning! This is not a sure fire method, there has many occasions where many of the same beavers have shown back up at the same place again just before dark!

the 22 mag in a semi is about the best there is for shooting beaver as the 22 stuns them if not hit perfect. I have tried 22 hornet, 223 and when they are in the thickets hiding, the 375hh comes out to play. We usually get ours in the spring just at break up and the rm bounty and sometimes a trapper buys them for 10-15 to give us 20-25 for beaver. Usually make enough to cover the whisky bill for the week.

Sweet just got a RM check for $70 for the first seven I submitted.

In the last six months I have got this $70 plus $340 for the 17 coyotes I got last year.

$410 for what I would have done for free anyway = priceless:rockOn:
