This is none of the best trail cams out there. Has an integrated solar panel, an LCD viewing screen and is 4G LTE compatible. So no more changing batteries or retrieving pics of an SSD card and No more disturbing the animals.

Regular price is 600$. Ouch!!

Spypoint has a buy one get one free mail in rebate (if bought before the 6th Of December), so that’s already a great deal. And à Québec city based store has them online for 480$ now. Store has a website. So it can be bought online. I won’t name the store as it’s not a site sponsor and against the rules, but the store shares its name with a common flower.

I thought I’d just pass this out. Comes up to 550$ for 2 cams. Instead of 700$ for a single one.

Mine is being returned. They are far too inconsistent at taking pics. I have the micro-link S. Junk imo.....

thats too bad, overall they have very good reviews. I'm seriously thinking about getting a couple and have been doing a lot of research. Hopefully you just got a bad one. It happens to even the best manufacturers.

My only trouble with the micro link was

1) i was in a bad cell reception area

2) my first memory card i used was defective out of the package

Changing locations and memory card fixed everything. Also make sure you update the firmware by going to spypoints website and following the instructions.

I have 2 spypoint link evos and when they work they are fantastic. But fair warning, when I needed support this summer it was quite literally over 1 month before I could get any sort of technical support. They sold a ton of link micros when they were released in Canada in the spring and they absolutely did not have the support infrastructure to handle the influx of support request. Their “live chat” went dark, emails were un-answered, phones were either always busy or I would wait on hold for 45 mins before being disconnected.

Very recently either support has gotten better or the requests for support are over their surge. Regardless I don’t think I would buy another spypoint product for a long time and I’m hesitant to recommend them to anyone. For anyone on the fence, take a look at the FB spypoint support group and read what you may be getting into. I’ve NEVER seen a company with such poor product support - hopefully they are getting their act together.

I have had decent luck with my Link-Micro in terms of reliability. Using it more for security at our cabin. Considering rolling the dice on a second one because the value is there but once you have to get their customer service involved, all bets are off.

Same, like i posted earlier, make sure you have good connection and your firmware is updated and the memory card is good. I was at my wits end trying to get it to work properly at first but it was a combination of poor location and a broken memory card. Now it works great and is amazing to use if you arent up the whole time during hunting season.
Note: mine isnt the solar one, i use an external 12v battery

Good point about the firmware. It helped sort an issue I was having with extra pics being taken. If you can handle an hour plus wait with customer service, they can push out the firmware for you so you don't have to it manually at the camera's location.

I did it as soon as i got the camera. It is a simple process if you are somewhat computer savvy, dloading a file from the website on to your computer then inserting your mem card and moving files over to it then putting that into the camera. But thats good to know they can do it from their end!

Either way, i am happy with what it does, i just wish it worked at my property but i am in a cell dead zone, but where i hunt with my dad it gets 5 bar connection!
