Crazy deal, you can buy a PSA M4A1 with Aimpoint Pro for $999 in the US, lucky Americans. That's cheaper than the Norinco M4 in Canada.

Live in Canada, free health insurance (for the most part)... pay more for AR15's. Live in the US, shell out $10k-$15k/annually for health insurance. But I get cheap ARs and saved $300 on switching my car insurance to Geico...

Send me a post card when you emigrate...

What is the point of these type of post anyway? all it does is draw a bunch of people #####ing about Canadian prices.

If you think Canadian retailers are living on caviar and champagne, perhaps you should start you own business provide us with prices that the Canadian firearm community deserves.

free health insurance (for the most part)

Ahem.......it's not free. We pay for it with our tax dollars, we just don't see the costs.

Word.

The problem is the 'Good Ole Boys' don't like competition.
Pretty soon you will have distributors and manufacturers 'backordering' everything on you or refusing to sell to you because you undercut everyone else.
Remember Questars problem a few years back? Glock threaten Distributors in the states that sold to Him.
Even Sporteque doesn;t sell to the public anymore....Maybe because his price with tax was the same or less than others retail?

You do realize that medicare costs $6000 per person, right? All of that is paid by tax money. So, for myself and my two kids, it costs $18K per year for very basic insurance. I also pay another ~$300 per month for supplemental coverage to add on dental, vision care and more. Total healthcare coverage costs for my family of 3 is $21,600 per year.

Still think it's free?

So you pay $18k in addition to income taxes...? Given a choice of living in the US with a near 20% unemployment rate, where you can get sued for practically everything - I'll take my chances in the "wild west" here. ;) I'm not saying Canada is perfect (far from it). What I am saying is that saving a few hundred dollars on an AR seems like a really stupid reason to want to live in the US...

you can also carry a pistol shoot people on step on your lawn....:dancingbanana:

we got it pretty good here... we dont pay that much more in taxes here...

their first brackets are 15% up to $35 350 and 25% up to $85 650,
ours are 15% up to $42,707 and 22% up to $85414

but we all get healthcare out of our taxes... and i would say our schools are better funded i think the US has sales tax like GST, PST

they do get a pretty sweet military with most of their tax dollars

I think we could, with enough time and effort, get canada back to pre 1995 era

I like said earlier these type of post is does nothing, but invite #####ing and whining ;)

If you want to hear stuff like that go down to your local Tim Hortons buy a coffee and adoughnut, than get a conversation going with one of those old retire people group.

the Median canadian family pays about $12K in health care cost a year,
In US you pay about same for private, then you have to pay about $12K in healthcare taxes for everyone else that doesnt pay for health care (medicare, medicaid, obamacare, and every illegal mexican that wants free healthcare)

No, I said that the medicare costs the government ~$192 billion every year, all of it tax money. That averages out to just under $6K per person, for every person in the country. Our healthcare is not "free" at all, the true cost is just buried in the enormous amount of taxes we pay. When you compare the true cost of healthcare between the US and Canada, the difference isn't really that great.

I agree that saving $300 on an AR is a poor reason to emigrate.

The real outrage here is that it only costs $10 more to upgrade it to all Tactical Pink furniture!
