Hey all
To keep this simple I'm looking for insight on a few odd calibers. These are 50/70 govt, 577/450 martini, and the 577 Snider
I'm interested in a cheap modern break action (hnr)single chambered in one of these
What I'm looking for is information on how far the limits can be pushed beyond traditional loadings for each in a break action such as the hnr
I plan on using lead cast loads for close range hunting and just plain fun shooting
I realize the challenge of finding drawn brass for the 577 and it's necked down brother

Any experiences with any or all would help.
Ideally I'd like the 577 but interested in all
Thanks

I'm not sure that the 577-450 would fit into one of those break actions but it would sure be a hoot. Hoyt should be along shortly to reveal another armload of barrels likely with some obscure ones in there.

If you don't mind the Remington rolling block actions, then there's a bunch of Swedish ones
on the TRADEEX site that were re-chambered to 50-70. Prices are decent too.

I would like to do up a .577 B.P. Express on a Martini action, which would be fine in the Snider version as well.

I've been looking closely at the Remington rolling blocks and they'd most likely fill my void in 50/70 but I'd be kept to very low pressure rounds. If the hnr doesn't work out I will go that route. If i ruin an hnr I won't loose any sleep. If i ruin an antique Remington well that's just wrong
