I usually buy used so never had to really “build” anything.

Looking at grabbing a Cz 457 with mdt xrs chassis 20”. Looks like I’d need to get a Cz picanny rail for a scope. I have a mdt grnd bipod and a Vortex PST viper in 1-6x24. Should I put that rifle scope on the Cz? I’ll be shooting 200-300 yards.

Anything else I should add?

Personally I would want more of a PRS or bench type scope with more magnification for that kind of rig. I would want a Zero Stop for sure. The 1-6X is more of a run & gun type scope IMO.

I have a 3-16X STAC on mine and I shoot out to 300M. it works fine but doesn't have Zero Stop.

DNT "The One" seems to be a lot of scope for the cash, I have considered picking one up for my 457.

It will depend on the size of targets at200-300 yards but spotting impacts or bullets will be near impossible at that distance. I would look for something like Bushnell Match Pro. Some of the newer companies out there are putting out great scopes for the money. Athlon,Arken Apex just to name a few. Look thru as many as possible and don’t forget the EE. Some great deals can be had. Good luck
