I've got 2 credit cards compromised in August at around the same time. Interesting enough, the only connection between 2 cards are 2 retailers. In both cases those were online purchases. One of the retailers is S&J.

Not blaming you, but you should review your data procedures and your clients should check credit card transactions to be safe.

Please email me at accounts at sjhardware.com so we can review the issue.

We are and always have been PCI compliant and take privacy and personal data very seriously.

We will need order numbers, transactional emails and transit numbers to complete an investigation.

If you look at the post you made in IRG forum they have admitted it was their site that compromised the cards .
But they blame it on a customer & have locked the thread

Yes, I was about to post it here. Seems the trouble is with another. Anyway, it is always good to review security. I cancelled 2 cards and almost went banana to cancel and replace all others just in case, but figured I try to investigate first.

But did your mystery shopper buy you anti-wrinkle cream and testosterone booster? Mine did, but I’m not sure what thread on the EE to put them in.

Just for the record I hadn’t made any purchases at S&J, butI did have fraudulent charges at about the same tome. Be vigilant...

Curiously, I had the same thing happen last year when making an online purchase from S&J. I checked my card online about eight hours after the online purchase to see the legit charge for the product I ordered. I logged in the next morning to transfer money to my visa card and I see a charge for a meal at a restaurant in Montreal. I immediately call Visa to cry foul and they tell me your card has just been suspended because someone in Montreal tried to get a $1500 cash advance on it an hour ago. Luckily they have algorithms that track you from birth to death and they realized in 30 years of having a visa card, I had never been silly enough to get/need a cash advance. Same thing, purchase from S&J was only connection.

just sayin' it makes a person wonder.

I recently bought and returned something at irg and had a card compromised. 2 tickets for Alaskan airlines and badoo social dating. $4000 in charges all reversed.

Air Canada had a breech a couple weeks ago.... my credit card was charged $6400+ by Uber over about 6 days.
I just bought stuff from Tenda and G4C sports... I dont think it was the gun stores.

The stuff the other vendor was talking about the RCMP officer...I have absolutely no idea what the relation it had with the fact that their site was compromised. It's almost as if someone is asking me what time is it and I tell them it is going to rain this afternoon.

Luckily the card I had on uber was the compromised one so there's no way to charge it via my uber.

Hmmm, got $2000 charges in uber and I never used that service.

Anyway, 1 card is a stay at home card if used, used over computer. Another is my coffee card, which I used only to make a quick payment via phone. For I R G it was taxes.

No way it was "malware".

Interesting, I just had mine compromised last week for $500 for some "antique shop". Same card I used at IRG. It rarely gets used so I'm wondering if it was from there.
