on friday i purchased a brand new lee carbide deluxe pistol set in 40 sw, its the one with the 4 dies including the crimp die, shell holder, load data and so on. sunday, yes easter sunday, at around 5 i attempt to put together my first test loads and i'm having trouble getting a bullet to seat, so i open up the bullet seating die to find out there is no bullet seater plug!

so i fire off an email at about 8 at night to there customer service department, at around noon today, on easter monday, less then 24 hours later i get this email as a reply:

we are sorry for the inconveniance, we will send the missing bullet seating plug out to you in todays mail, thank you

no wanting proof of purchase, no questions asked, no please take the product back to place of purchase, no hassel, and taken care of quickly even on holidays

only is all customer service was this easy and convenient

Sort of reminds me of the Foxpro Fury I bought used. It was only used once by the previous owner! I used it quite a few times then it quit working. Phoned Foxpro and told them what it was doing and that I bought it used. They were very kind and walked me through the process over the phone and fixed the problem! It turned out that the handheld and the base were on two different channels. I never had the manual so I didn`t realize this. Makes me warm and fuzzy inside lol that my e-caller has a fantastic support center to back it up!!!!

Lee Reponse to Issues

Just started reloading, bought Lee and have great reply's from them with various issues or concerns and in a timely manor. They are a bit cheaper than other reloading companies but their customer service is very good.

Rcbs sent me 3 replacement pins for my berdan depriming tool without proof of purchase after only owning it for 2 weeks. No issue or hassle.

Lee offered to replace my Reloader Press after an unexplainable failure. I had to mail it in which would cost $25 and it was only $27 new so I passed but the offer was there.

Call LEE and offer to email that photo. If they won't replace your press after that, screw them and buy RCBS. I bought a severely abused RC press at a flea market. I later discovered that the frame had been cracked. There were prybar marks on the frame. It would've cost a small fortune to send it back to RCBS for repair, they said no problem, just promise to destroy the damaged press. In the meantime, a new RC was on the way.

I've used Lee, RCBS and Hornady customer service. Both RCBS and Hornady said "part is in the mail."

My Lee Auto-Prime broke less than a year after buying it and I had the reciept to prove it. (Lee says they have a full warranty for two years.) They said "Sorry, but we have phased out that primer for a different model, you may buy the new one for a discount. Bulls**t, so my warranty is void if a newer model comes out?

Went and bought a Hornady hand primer, no more Lee reloading accesories for me.
