Well, the first year with the Creedmoor has been a successful one....for Vanessa anyhow. She filled her last tag tonight. With 129 grain bullets the little 6.5 has taken an elk at 542 yards and three whitetails at 178, 186 and 235 yards. With her still struggling with an arm in a cast, the lightweight rifle and low recoil has been welcomed. It will be fun to get it out on some coyotes and wolves this winter but so far I see the appeal in this cartridge. Here's tonight's victim.
