I shot two different 7-08's the other day, one with 139gr Interlock SP's @ 2650 fps and a 2nd with 139gr SST's @ 2675 fps. Both zero'd @ 200y that same day, next took them both out to 630 yards and found the 139SP hit 18" (3moa) lower than the SST. BC can make a big difference. Rifles were a Sako85 Finnlight (20.25" brl) and an Xbolt Micro Midas (20" tube)
point is, the bullet profile makes more difference than the caliber/muzzle velocity, easy to compare apples to oranges. Put a low BC bullet in a 6.5 creedmoor and its gonna be a dog downrange, put a sleek bullet in a 308 and it does pretty good.
