I need a Creedmoor in my life i have an action, trigger and scope. I need to buy a barrel and a folding HNT26 chassis. I found a 6.5 barrel but was wondering if i should go 6 or 22 Creed instead. Will be a truck gun and i wanted a 20’’ barrel. Will also carry on a snowmobile in a backpack folded. I have a 26’’ PRC that i can load with 135s if i need to get serious. I have the brass and die already for the 6.5 CM. I would be using 130gr or lighter bullets. Go with the 6.5 or 6 or 22? Not willing to try the +peak until we see real reviews.

TIA

Not seeing any advantage to 308 at all aside maybe cheaper range ammo and if OP cares (assuming he doesn't) barrel life?

Run what you brung already....

6 CM for sure, I have one but it's a 19.5 lb long range bench gun, am looking into getting another one in an 8 lb hunting rifle, the cartrige is efficient and easy to load, wonderfully accurate and will drive an 87gr Vmax at 3400 fps no problem or a 75 gr Vmax at 3600 fps which would be devistating on coyotes

If you don't handload, the ammunition options for 6.5 Creed are much more varied. Not that you won't be able to do whatever you want with the 6 and 22 options available but it's something to think of.

It also depends how much you want to shoot it. You already have a 6.5 so a different caliber might be more fun. 22 is furthest from your 6.5PRC...

If you want a HNT26, make sure to contact us before you order! Some of the best pricing around on MDT stuff. We'll get you a great quote either by PM or by email (info@partsonly.ca).

My vote is the 6.5 for overall versatility. Otherwise, 22.

I thought MDT was having a sale for father day. I might be wrong.
They typically offer only one sale per year, and that is Black Friday.

We will, however, always provide great pricing regardless of the current price at MDT. Again, just send a PM or email to discuss the details.

The only time they might have an "unbeatable" price is on blemished or lightly damaged items. They make those available once a year as well, usually for Black Friday.
