I know it's sacrelidge to desicrate the otherwise wonderful Mauser rifle. But here goes, I once had a really nice obviously refurbrished (full military dress) K98 Carbine (1935?) In 8x57 J in my possession. For some unknown reason I would not could not ever accept that last fifth round within its magazine?
Both surplus Yugo and as well my reloads with Remington brand new brass.
I admit my life long experience with the wonderful large ring Mauser might be less than others.
For what it's worth I once owned a P14 and it worked flawlessly. And a friend's 1903 Springfield seems equally reliable.
Has anyone experienced similar magazine issues with Mauser K-98, Swedish 6.5s or any Mauser what have you?? This was my one and only complaint folks!
