The rifle alone is MRSP at $399 USD and the special edition with crate at $499. This is a mixture Mosin nagant on the scale given to Alexei Nikolaevich of the House of Romanov but obviously not the same special rifle.......

Apparently this is the first of 4 more 22lr mini's that are going to be released. I'm guessing we might expect a 1903 Springfield, No4mk1, K98, and? I'm not sure what the 3rd rifle would be but I'd imagine either a pattern 1917 or possibly garand....

The original rifle was chambered in 3.81x27R but this one in 22lr
Here is the first one , it was a minture version of the real thing made for the son of the last Czar who was also a hemophiliac and unable to tolerate the recoil of a full scale rifle

About time a firearm company made firearms that are fun and appealing again. I already bought my daughter a henry single shot....I better work on have some sons for these :)

i was in trombleys the other day and on their used rack they had a mauser in 22lr. thought it was pretty cool, and cheap at 350$. didnt look to be too beat up either

Search YouTube for videos about the Cricket Mosin. Cricket has been passing around some T&E guns to "friendly" (ie: bought and paid for) gun channel reviews.

These look to be quite terrible guns, no matter how the friendly reviews try and spin them.

How terrible do you mean? The cricket is a nice little training rifle for kids.... I chose the Henry for my daughter as its fi ish was awesome and the deal good. I saw one review which while obviously a promo seemed to show off a neat little single shot rifle. I could see them appealing to many that would otherwise not buy a standard stock cricket. I will be ordering one of these as soon as they cross the boarder and likely a few others in the collection.

For the price they charge, it should have came with mini stripper clips and a functional magazine. The crate is pretty sweet though.

At $399 USD, its more of a collectible item for s**ts and giggles as oppose to a starter rifle for children. Just my opinion.

the problem with these is they lead to more rifles, because if you have the 22's then you need the larger rifles to match them. And I don't have all of those yet. A French rifle would be fun to find one of those in 308...……….. or the old French cartridge.

I have not seen close up of the action yet though other than from the side. It has a cocking knob like the other cricket actions but the bolt is different so I wonder if this rifle will have a feed ramp or if you put the cartridge directly in the barrel?

I have to admit, part of my dislike has to do with the Cricket action, having to manually #### the rifle after closing the action... I despise the concept. It teaches new shooters a safety mechanism that doesn't exist in virtually any other rifle.

Give them a proper bolt action .22 and teach them the right way, the first time.

As for this rifle... A "mini" Mosin with that crap Cricket action, for $400 USD? That puts it in the price range of a good bolt action... You can get a CZ 455 in the US for that price, and it will be a rifle your kid can learn to shoot with, that they'll keep for the rest of their life. Not some gimmicky piece of junk with an f'ed up action they'll grow out of.

$399 for the rifle only, 499 for rifle and crate. It’s interesting but if what other are saying about the action is seems goofy and a pass for me.

The YouTube channel iraqveteran8888 has a review up and apparently it’s only the first 500 or so mini Mosins that come with the mini crate. It looks too small for anyone, but maybe a child. For the collector that has it all I suppose, but at that price, I’d rather have the real thing.

Interested until I realized they are single shot/based on the Cricket action. I just can't get behind it.

I love my JW25 - the Norc K98 clone. I've put thousands of rounds through the ones I own. But a single shot Mosin... Great for kids but, realistically, I would get tired of it in about 5 minutes.

I find the walnut stock or of character. If ever a gun called for the cheapest birch you can find with a hasty finish slapped on, this would have been it.
