Slowly startign to gather some components to reload .308. Just a couple of questions for anyone with experience!
Just came into a whole bunch of CBC 7.62 brass, and they have the 3 little crimp punches on the primer. Now i read that some years were boxer and some berdan primed, any truth to this? as far as i can see, they're boxer primed.
Also, i have a bunch of IVI brass that has no visible crimp, but after hearign/reading that ALL MILITARY PRIMERS ARE CRIMPED (?) I have to ask.
Anyone have experience removing these crimps? There seems to be a lot of conflicting information. Soem guys chamfer by hand, some use a 45 degree drill bit in a drill, some use hundreds of dollars worth of decapping tools, pocket swaging dies, etc... What do YOU think is the best way and why?
