So I get to play with a 22-250 browning BLR. Just wondering if crimping is nessary. Being a mag feed lever I was thinking it can be treated as a bolt and not crimped. What do you guys think.

Crimping is completely unnecessary in this case. Rules of thumb for when to crimp are:

-Tubular magazines
-Large bore (.40 and up), heavy-recoiling rifles
-Possibly semiauto rifles. I personally have had no problems with un-crimped ammo in my AR and M14, but results may vary.
